Understanding Your Certificate of Conformity

What a CoC confirms, and what it does not.

What a CoC is

A Certificate of Conformity records that a vehicle has completed the conformity process. Per the GSA FAQ, approved third-party inspection bodies in the origin country issue it and upload it to VEDIS under the published government workflow. PVOCGH shows a certificate only if one is actually received, and its own issuing permission is not currently available.

What it confirms

It relates to conformity with the applicable vehicle requirements at the time of the process.

What it does not do

A CoC does not by itself complete customs clearance, vehicle registration, tax obligations or other applicable import requirements.

Receiving and keeping it

Certificates appear on your case only when they have actually been received. Keep an original copy with your shipping documents.

If something is wrong

Raise it with support quickly, with your case reference. Do not alter the document.

Verification

Verification will be offered only when an authorised mechanism is available. Certificate verification is not currently available on this site.
